Beauty Tips- How to Save Money When it Comes to Beauty?
Submitted by: Brent McNutt
People usually spend a lot of money on fancy salons—even with
the simplest of haircuts. Women are usually guilty of this. Of
course, it’s not exactly a crime to enjoy the plush chairs,
comfortable lounge areas, high quality landau scrubs, and other
salon accessories. People go to salons to de-stress and pamper
themselves, anyway. But you don’t have to spend loads of money
to get what you want, may it be a change of hair color or a
simple haircut.
Color it Yourself
Yes, highlight can be a tricky thing to accomplish—but all-over
color is usually considered as a DIY job. So if you’re tired of
your dull, brown hair or you want to cover up a patch of gray in
your hair, then roll up your sleeves and do it yourself. You
don’t have to worry about messing because most home color
formulas are fairly to use. Some of these products are also
super hydrating. But to make sure that things don’t go askew,
don’t go too dark or too light. For drastic color changes, leave
it to the pros in the beauty salons.
Cut Back on Haircuts
Ever considered having your haircut done at discount salons? If
you haven’t, we strongly suggest you do. That way, you can
splurge on the hair color, especially if you just plan on having
a simple haircut. While most beauty mags will tell you to have
your cut and color at the same fancy salon, it will be a lot
easier on the pockets if you can save money on the cut. After
all, fixing the right colors needs more attention than fixing a
few ends. We suggest that you hit the discount salons in between
the pricey cuts. If you just plan on maintaining the look done
by a fancy salon, then simply go to less expensive salon and
tell them to cut along the lines of your previous haircut.
Bargain with Beauty Schools
If you really want that fancy haircut, then hit your local
beauty school and set up an appointment with one of the trainees
there. And don’t worry, because the stylists-in-training
wouldn’t butcher your hair as they supervised by an experienced
stylist. This will give you a chance to enjoy a really good
haircut without burning a hole in your wallet.
Be a Model for a Day
Big salons will need hair models—and you can sign up to be one.
While it is true that you won’t have much say in your haircut,
at least you will get to enjoy a fancy cut without paying for
it. Most stylists will stay with your current style anyway, so
you don’t have to worry about drastic changes.
Bangs for Less than a Buck
Most stylists will charge very little or even none at all if
you’re just planning to get your bangs done. Just ask your
stylist to trim your bangs for free. This would take them a
couple of minutes so it won’t be much of a problem.
